COURSE DESCRIPTION (Online & In-Person Course)

This program prepares students to be professional Phlebotomy Technicians dedicated to the art of blood withdrawal. During the course, you will be shown:

• How to draw blood, known as a “stick”
• Practice your “sticking” skills in the classroom on staff, fellow students by practicing on arms so that you are prepared and confident

When you complete the course, you will be equipped to:

• Prepare the patient
• Perform vein puncture
• Assist in maintaining the quality of the specimen

*This course will also prepare students to take the National Certification Exam for Certified Phlebotomy Technician
